- Jim Iyke has bared his soul about his run-ins with Nigerian spiritual leaders, all while narrating his encounters with the late Pastor TB Joshua.
- In a candid heart-to-heart with Teju Babyface, the Nollywood actor revealed that he was coerced into parting with his money, as his intense desire for his late mother’s healing left him vulnerable to those who took advantage of him.
Esteemed actor Jim Iyke has once more delved into his encounters with the late Synagogue Church’s head, Pastor TB Joshua, in 2013, among other men of God.
Recall in 2013, Jim made headlines over a clip of him him completely losing his cool at the church.
During his sit-down with Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin, who goes by the moniker Teju Babyface, Jim disclosed that his presence at the church was solely motivated by his deep-seated desire for his mother’s recovery, driven by a sense of desperation during that period.
His words;
“The only thing they could do was attack my personality, attack my integrity, I’ll never be desperate again in my life. Desperation was what took me there, to take my mother there, hoping that a man of God, quote and unquote would heal her.
“She lives here day and night, I still have conversations with her, she’s never left. When I’m done praying with God she is the next person, I know how many times my mum appeared to me in dreams, if she were to live twenty TB Joshuas will not stop her,”
When divulging his experiences, Jim Iyke revealed that TB Joshua wasn’t the sole spiritual leader he sought out.
He maintained that he had approached around five or six different men of God, and he didn’t mince words about how they exploited him and to ok his hard-earned cash.
The 46-year-old added:
“It was her time, nobody would have made me enter that space, he wasn’t the only one I went to, I have been to five or six men of God, is it because I don’t want to mention names?? How they drove me the money they took from me.”
