I’d love to go on date with Rema – South African Singer, Tyla (VIDEO)

Tyla Laura, affectionately regarded by Naija fans as South Africa's version of Ayra Starr, has now added her name to the roster of female celebrities like Justin Skye and Selena Gomez, who have fallen head over heels for the young and dashing sensation, Rema. Tyla, her face lighting up like a sky full of stars, radiated with a blush as she spilled the details of her delightful encounter with the singer and expressed her heartfelt wish for a date with him

South African songbird, Tyla Laura Seethal, who goes by Tyla, has spilled the beans about her desire to sweep the Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Rema off his feet on a date.

During a recent sit-down with Apple Music, Tyla was put in the hot seat and asked which celebrity she’d like to take as her “prom” date, and without hesitation, she named Rema.

Her words;

Rema would be cute. I hung out with him last year, and we took pictures together. That was so dramatic.

“After that situation I realised that Hollywood is just vibes like you can’t trust everything you see cause that looked like a scandal. Even I started believing [we were dating]. But we are just friends.”

Tyla first gained attention with the release of “Getting Late.” The song provoked interest in her person and her music. It became the prelude to her snapping a vital record deal later. In 2021, she released a number titled “Overdue” in collaboration with DJ Lag.

Ever since being spotted with Rema in Los Angeles, United States in 2022, rumors of a possible romantic involvement between the two have been on some fans’ lips.

While Tyla is signed to Epic Records, a deal that has enabled her to travel the world and meet key voices in global pop, Rema is signed to Mavin, one of the best record labels in Nigeria.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Rema sparked relationship rumours with Wizkid’s ex, Justin Skye, after he thrilled her to a birthday date in August.

The Mavin Signee has also been rumoured to be romantically involved with label mate Ayra Starr in the past.

However, Ayra Starr debunked the rumours, describing Rema as a “brother.”
