- A Nigerian lady identified as Debbie calls out BBNaija star Mercy Eke for an alleged N1 million debt.
- Debbie claims the debt is related to purchasing premium ICUs for voting during Mercy’s BBNaija journey.
- Mercy’s sister, Promise, is accused of refusing to repay the debt, citing Mercy’s second-place finish in the competition.
- Allegations surface that Mercy Eke reserved N4 million for vote-buying during her time on the show.
A young lady named Debbie publicly accused BBNaija reality star Mercy Eke of failing to repay a substantial debt amounting to N1 million after the reality show concluded.
Debbie took to Twitter and utilized a ‘Twitter space’ to address the issue, claiming that Mercy Eke and her sister, Promise, had not fulfilled their financial commitment to purchase premium “ICUs” to vote for Mercy during her stint on the popular reality television show.
She explained that she had been faced with threats and intimidation from Promise, Mercy’s sister, after making her grievances public.
According to Debbie, the reason Mercy’s sister refused to repay the debt was that Mercy had not secured a victory in the BBNaija competition, finishing as the runner-up instead.
Debbie’s claims have been met with mixed reactions from fans and followers of the reality star, as well as those closely following the saga.
Also, some fans came forward to expose alleged information that Mercy Eke herself had reserved a substantial amount of N4 million to purchase votes in an attempt to secure victory in the reality show.
It is essential to note that this controversy comes shortly after Mercy’s sister, Promise, had openly criticized the BBNaija production team for her sister’s second-place finish in the competition, claiming that both she and a group of supporters known as “mercenaries” had worked tirelessly to ensure Mercy’s victory.
