Mohbad: Naira Marley reportedly drags K-solo to court for defamation of character, calls out 2 actresses

Naira Marley, a central figure in Mohbad case, has retaliated with a scorching lawsuit against one of his accusers, K-Solo. In a statement released by his legal team, the rapper has opted to take the singer to court, while also pointing fingers at two other actresses who have made him a convenient scapegoat in the unfortunate demise of his former signee, Mohbad.

The Nigerian rap maestro and music bigwig, Afeez Fashola, more famously recognized as Naira Marley, has donned his armor to defend both his reputation and brand.

Through a reported statement from his legal team earlier today, thursday, october 26, 2023, Naira Marley revealed that he’s all geared up to square off with singer and music producer K-Solo in a courtroom showdown.

The lawyers of the Soapy crooner noted their reasons for filing a lawsuit against K-Solo, noting that it was on defamatory grounds.

The singer’s legal squad spilled the tea that K-Solo made some allegations against the rapper during an interview on the show Rubbin’ Minds. Ksolo said Naira Marley cannot say he doesn’t have hands in the death of his signee, Mohbad.

In the interview aired on September 17, K-Solo said;

Naira Marley is involved [in Mohbad’s death]. He cannot tell me he is not involved. He has a hand in his death.” These claims, without any substantial evidence (developments have clearly shown Naira is not directly or remotely connected to his death) have caused serious damage to Naira Marley’s reputation.”

In the statement, Naira’s team pointed out that K-Solo and two other actresses were the ringleaders of a smear campaign against Marlian Boss, hurling unfounded and false accusations.

Many have honed in on the fact that the pair of actresses alluded to in the public statement are indeed Nollywood heavyweights, Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh. This connection stems from their previous finger-pointing at Naira Marley and his partner-in-crime, Sammy Larry.

However, it must be stated that the statement didn’t mention either of the actresses’ names.

The statement reads in part;

‘’The legal team representing Naira Marley will be initiating legal action against K-Solo for defamation of character. It is essential to emphasize that making unfounded allegations and false statements can have far-reaching consequences.

Accusations of this nature not only tarnish the image of the accused but also perpetuate baseless claims that have spread like wildfire because elements like K-Solo and others (especially two known actresses) have speared head of the campaign of calumny against the person of Naira for reasons best known to them.”
