My manager and lawyer are plotting to ‘kidnap’ me – Davido

Davido has undeniably landed in a hotbed of controversies, having showdowns with the likes of Phyna and Samklef, the music star truly let his fingers do the talking in a recent feud with Dammy Krane. Judging by his recent tweet, his lawyer and manager, the guardians of his brand's integrity, seem far from pleased with his online skirmishes.


Davido, the prominent Afrobeats sensation, professionally identified as David Adeleke, stirred up a buzz with his recent post as he humorously implored for assistance, claiming that his own team members attempted to “kidnap” him.

The singer’s playful SOS call followed a fiery face-off with Dammy Krane, with accusations flying like unpaid debts, claims of ingratitude, and a storm of other allegations in the mix.

WITHIN NIGERIA recall reporting that Dammy Krane claimed Davido still owes him for his contribution on the track they did together.

Both parties shared different secrets online, revealing how they both allegedly took advantage of each other.

In a sizzling new online tweet, Davido spilled the beans with a pinch of humor, playfully suggesting that his manager Asa Asika and lawyer Bobo Fred Ajudua are hankering to “kidnap” him.

He wrote:

“Asa n Bobo wan kidnap me ooo help 😂.”

The singer is fully aware that his trusted team members are on a mission to retrieve his phone used in tweeting his grudges on X platform, especially after all the online controversy ignited by his clash with Dammy Krane.

Davido and Dammy Krane have been at loggerheads on the social networking site, X (Twitter), where the former accused Davido of failure to pay royalties on a song ‘Pere’ they recorded in 2017.

Dammy Krane called out the ‘Unavailable Crooner’ over failure to pay for the song they recorded and accused the singer of taking a singer, Idowest, from his label.

In his defense, Davido took to Twitter on Friday and stated that the ‘Amin Crooner’ is yet to pay him for the three songs they recorded together and recalled how he housed the singer.
