Nollywood actor, Emeka Amakeze has garnered attention online after critiquing actor Yul Edochie over his recent video.
This development arises from Yul Edochie’s previous public disapproval of Rufai Oseni, a news anchor at Arise TV, due to what Yul perceived as unprofessional conduct during a TV interview.
The interview between Rufai Oseni and APC chieftain Jesutega Onokpasa had escalated into a heated exchange, going viral and sparking conversations on social media.
Yul Edochie took to his Instagram account to address the issue, voicing his resentment about Rufai Oseni’s behaviour as a journalist. He criticized Oseni for creating discomfort for his interviewee due to apparent political bias.
Yul Edochie emphasized that impartiality is crucial for journalists, regardless of their personal political affiliations, to maintain the professionalism of their work. He pointed out that Oseni had gone so far as to suggest that the guest leave the interview if he felt uncomfortable.
In his critique of Rufai Oseni, Yul Edochie did not hold back, questioning Oseni’s behaviour and his right to be rude to his guests. Yul Edochie also mentioned that such situations were not new occurrences as he is fond of exhibiting outbursts.
Reacting, Emeka Amakeze entered the social media discourse, offering his perspective on the matter.
He advised Yul Edochie to choose his battles carefully and insinuated that Yul Edochie’s comments lacked coherence. One of Yul Edochie’s fans cautioned him to show respect for his senior colleague, and Emeka Amakeze also took a swipe at him immediately.
