- Hermes has taken to Instagram to vent at organizers of a show he was invited to.
- The BBNaija star lamented how he was embarrassed and stopped from proceeding into the venue from the gate despite being invited.
- Reacting to his rant, Biodun Stephen questioned the reality star’s British accent which had his co-star, Tega, defending him.
Filmmaker cum movie director, Biodun Stephen has queried Big Brother Naija’s ‘shine ya eyes’ former housemate, Hermes Iyele over his British accent.
It started with the BBNaija star via his Instagram story calling out a certain bank for embarrassing him at an event.
According to him, he had been invited to an event, only for him to get there and his name wasn’t found in the list of guests at the event and the security stopped him from entering the venue.
To make matters worse, the bank’s representatives who were at the venue didn’t make a move to save face.
An obviously disappointed Hermes swore never to make special appearance at a show without getting paid because according to him, not getting paid makes one worth less. He said in part:
“I need an explanation as to why you will invite me to an event and the security checks for my name three times. The security was looking at me like I was supposed to not be there. I need an explanation as to why that happened”.
Hermes who spoke in with a British accent left award-winning filmmaker, Biodun Stephen perplexed.
Taking to a blog’s comment section, she questioned where his British accent was coming from. She wrote:
“Where is the British accent coming from Hermes?”.
Defending her co-star, Tega Dominic affirmed that that is the way Hermes speaks when he is having a serious conversation. Tega added that his pidgin even has a swirl. In her words:
“@biodunstephen that’s how he talks when he’s serious, even his pigin has a swirl..”

In other news, Nigerian film actor, Jim Iyke has spoken about a viral ‘who’s that’ statement he made days back, during an interview.
Recall that during the said interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa had inquired about his relationship with his ex, Ghanian actress, Nadia Buhari and he had replied with “Who’s that”, which many found offensive.
Now speaking about it in another interview, Jim Iyke noted how he and Nadia, have both moved on from their past and are now in different relationships.
