Wizkid announces 4 to 5-year break from music, considers a career in football, golf, other sports

On a bright Sunday morning, WizKid, the Afrobeats Superstar, fed up with the relentless demands from his fans sliding into his DMs, decided to lay it down straight. Still grieving from the recent loss of his mother, he's been a mere ghost on social media. With a dash of sternness and a sprinkle of humor, he let it be known that he's in dire need of a 4-5 year breather from the music scene. And just for kicks, he slyly hinted at contemplating a leap into uncharted waters, perhaps setting sail for a new sporty adventure. It's evident that the maestro is far from being in the right frame of mind to drop fresh tunes.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, the Afrobeats sensation known as Wizkid, just hinted at a massive 4 to 5-year music break, aiming to kick-start a career in football, golf, or FIFA gaming.

In the latest social media buzz, a disgruntled fan of the singer took to Instagram to slide into the artist’s DMs, expressing impatience and even issuing a threat, questioning if new music was in the pipeline.

Surprisingly, Wizkid found the fan’s outburst rather amusing and responded to the situation.

He disclosed that he’s currently on a well-deserved holiday and wishes to relish life. In a subsequent Instagram story, he hinted at a potential return in four years, emphasizing the importance of savoring the fruits of his labor.

In yet another slide, Wizkid mused that it might even stretch to five years before his musical comeback, contemplating possible ventures into football, golf, FIFA, or even the world of wrestling.
