Nigerian rapper cum actor, Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce has announced that he has quit acting.
The hip-hop artist who made his movie debut in the 2018 action crime thriller, ‘King Of Boys’, said he would no longer accept any acting role.
Speaking in the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, the ‘Local Rappers’ crooner said he only accepted to play the role of Makanaki in the feisty crime thriller because he wanted to try something new. In not so many words, Reminisce said:
“I am not acting again. I’m not interested anymore.”
He added that he would have loved to fulfil the wishes of fans who want to see him in more movies but “no.”
Reminisce emphasized that he is adventurous, hinting that he may decide to become a newscaster in the future just for the fun of it.
This revelation is coming shortly after the Rapper revealed he is taking a break from his music career.
Reminisce earlier shed light on the reason behind his deliberate retreat from the spotlight.
In an interview with Zero Conditions, the singer said that he took a hiatus from music to prioritize his family.
After seven years, Reminisce, who made his long-awaited reappearance with the release of his highly anticipated album “ATSG, Vol. 1,” revealed that his career was consuming all of his time and that, while living with his children, he seldom noticed changes in his home or saw his children.
