Guinness record: Etinosa Idemudia slams those who bullied Chef Dammy after Irish chef dethroned Hilda Baci

Hilda Baci's remarkable Guinness World Record earlier this year filled Nigeria with pride. However, Chef Dammy, her compatriot, daringly attempted to snatch that glory just a month later but faced severe backlash. Now, the record has slipped through Nigeria's fingers into the hands of an Irish chef who outdid Hilda's achievement. In response, actress Etinosa Idemudia scolded those who never believed in Chef Dammy's potential to uphold the honor in Nigeria. She made it clear that the record was never, and will never be, Baci's birthright.

Popular Nigerian actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has weighed in on the recent developments surrounding Hilda Baci’s loss of her Guinness World Record title.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, it was announced that a chef from Ireland, Alan Fisher, beat Hilda Baci’s record and emerged as the winner of the longest cooking marathon.

The breaking news reverberated across the the vast Nigerian social media landscape, triggering an avalanche of comments from numerous individuals, among them the outspoken actress Etinosa.

Etinosa, via her X platform, vividly recounted the episode in which Nigerians relentlessly targeted Chef Dammy for her audacious attempt to challenge Hilda’s record, as if it was her birthright.

According to the actress, if people had also encouraged Dammy, the record could have been retained as a nation.

She wrote:

You guys were bullying the innocent Dami 4 attempting to break the record as if it was Hilda’s birthright. You see, if we had encouraged Dami who knows, we would still have retained it as a nation. Oya go and Bully this guy Na. Abi Na only poor people Pikin una dey bully. Wazagha.”

Hilda Baci, the Nigerian lady who once held the Guinness World Record for longest cooking marathon, broke her silence after losing her prestigious title to an Irish chef.

Guinness World Record announced on their official Twitter page that the Irish chef, Alan Fisher, cooked for an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes in his restaurant in Japan surpassing Hilda’s time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
