Davido reacts to scam allegations in hawker's aid
  • Davido faces criticism for retracting his aid offer to a hawker who was initially believed to be a female.
  • Davido had pledged to help the hawker upon learning that they were from Osun state, where his uncle serves as governor.
  • Shockingly, it was later revealed that the hawker is a man named Sultan from Osogbo, leading to Davido calling off his aid plans.
  • Social media users expressed mixed reactions, with some arguing that the hawker, who is physically challenged, still needed help.

Popular Nigerian singer Davido has reacted after finding himself at the center of a controversy surrounding his efforts to help a hawker who was initially believed to be a female in dire need.

The hawker, initially identified as a woman by the name of Sultan, had received aid from the popular skit maker Brain Jotter. The heartwarming gesture included a video feature and a financial gift of N400,000.

Moved by the hawker’s situation and determination to improve their life, Davido stepped in to extend a helping hand when he learned that Sultan hailed from Osun state, where his uncle serves as governor.
