Mohbad’s father, Oladimeji Joseph Aloba, has finally broken his silence following allegations from his son’s wife, Wunmi, that he requested for her son, Liam’s placenta when he was born.
Earlier, Omowunmi Aloba, the wife of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, revealed why she became estranged from her father-in-law.
Testifying before the Lagos croner inquest on Tuesday, Omowunmi revealed that her relationship with her father-in-law, deteriorated after the birth of her son, Liam.
She added that their relationship was strained because she refused to give him her son, Liam’s placenta.
Mohbad’s wife said she declined because that’s the instruction her husband had given her when she asked him about Joseph’s request.
Responding to Wunmi’s allegations, Mohbad’s father took to social media to respond with a song.
Joseph asked God to have mercy on him because they keep saying all sorts about him on social media. He sang in Yoruba (roughly translated to English):
“God please have mercy on me. They said I asked for the placenta of my own grandson. Doesn’t the son belong to the father? I don’t know what they said I did that they keep talking about me everywhere? May Adabi judge between us.”
