- Lagos-based clergyman, Ebuka Obi has spoken up amid claims of inviting Mr Ibu to his church for a fake miraculous stunt.
- This comes after a native doctor took to social media to celebrate the news of Mr Ibu’s leg amputation expressing his desire for the actor’s second leg to be cut off also. The traditionalist further insinuated that Ibu’s condition is a consequence of his involvement in a staged miracle with Ebuka Obi to deceive the public.
- In response, Ebuka Obi cleared his name, quashing the claims as false allegations.
Evangelist Ebuka Obi has addressed allegations of collaborating with the ailing actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu for a staged miracle.
Recall that a traditionalist had surfaced to accuse Mr Ibu of pulling a fake miraculous stunt at Ebuka Obi’s church, thereby deceiving the public. He further expressed happiness over Mr Ibu’s leg amputation as he attributed it as the consequence of the deceitful act he involved himself in.
Reacting to this, Obi while speaking to his congregation cleared the air regarding the false claim. According to him, contrary to claims of inviting Mr Ibu to his church, the actor came on his own. Ebuka Obi claimed not to know Mr Ibu as he doesn’t even watch movies.
He noted that he only knew Ibu was a celebrity when people drew his attention to the actor’s presence in the church.
Speaking on the alleged staged miracle, Ebuka Obi affirmed that Ibu never even solicited prayers of healing from him, and neither did the actor give a testimony on Zion Ministry’s altar.
He added that the only complaint Mr Ibu made was about financial backwardness, and after this, he displayed generosity by giving him some money.
The pastor went on to lament countless false narratives about him developed by people to amass views, relating his situation to that of the late clergyman, T.B Joshua.
