WizKid visits secondary school in Ijebu Ode, receives royal blessings from Awujale of Ijebu land – VIDEO

Amidst his bustling music schedule, WizKid embarked on a journey down memory lane to his hometown, exploring familiar spots and connecting with influential figures in Ogun State. He swung by KWAM 1's residence in Ijebu Ode, departing with invaluable advice from the seasoned singer. Their next destination was the Awujale of Ijebu land's palace, where royal blessings awaited him. Wrapping up the trip, WizKid made a pitstop at his old secondary school, departing with rekindled memories of days gone by


Nigerian global sensation, Ayo Balogun, aka Wizkid, recently met with the esteemed Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.

WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that Big Wiz extended a courtesy visit to the seasoned Fuji veteran, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, KWAM 1, right at his residence in Ijebu Ode.

In a recent video, Wizkid and KWAM 1 were spotted at the Awujale’s palace, where the Yoruba monarch bestowed blessings upon the dynamic duo.

In a separate clip, Wizkid took a trip down memory lane, visiting his secondary school, Ijebu Ode Grammar School. Casual and at ease, he strolled through the school compound accompanied by a group of young boys.

WizKid shared reflections on his secondary school days, even pointing out the spot where they used to gather for assembly.

This is coming after Big Wiz recently made headlines following his visit to the home of Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka KWAM 1, in what seemed to be a show of appreciation for performing at his mum’s burial.

Wizkid and his family members threw a lavish burial party in honour of his late mother, Mrs Juliana Morayo Balogun, which saw KWAM 1 as one of the lead performers.

In one of the videos from WIzkid’s visit, KWAM 1 described the singer as a good man and the people’s voice.

The Fuji star also spoke about introducing Wizkid to the paramount leader of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
