Popular Nigerian film actor cum producer, Yul Edochie has advised netizens on how to handle social media trolls.
Expressing his view about the use of the internet, the actor stated that there is no room for crying, or drawing pity as the world itself is tough already.
He gave two options on how to deal with bullies online. According to the actor and son of veteran actor, Pete Edochie, one should either ignore a social media bully or respond to them in multiple folds.
Yul who has also been at the receiving end of trolls month after month, on social media made the post on his Instagram page. He then tagged social media a rugged place. He wrote:
“If someone insults you on social media, you only have two options. You either ignore them or give it back to them ten times more.
” No room for weakness, crying, or drawing pity here. The world is tough.
“Social media is a rugged place. Go hard or go home”.
This is coming after Nigerian singer, Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, gave reasons why people should stop taking dating advice on social media.
Taking to his Instagram story, Harrysong noted that such advice comes from a content creator who is “hustling.”
He explained that these content creators themselves also need help in their own relationships as well as to make ends meet.
