Why I thank God for not making me ‘blow’ in 2019 – Crayon

I don ‘blow’ – Crayon excitedly announces

Mavin Records artiste, Charles Chibueze Chukwu aka Crayon, has thanked God that he did not ‘blow’ (i.e become famous) in 2019 when Don Jazzy signed him to the music label.

He said having a successful music career now is more satisfying than it would have been then, and he just had to be patient.

Crayon stated this through his official X account as he noted that God was probably testing him like Job in the Bible.

The ‘Ngozi’ crooner added that now that he’s a buzzing artiste, he is “coming for everything like a comet.” He wrote:

“Omo thank God say I no blow 2019 when I came out!!! Na now sweet pass! Jesus!!!! I had to wait bro I had to wait !!

“God tested my patience like job in the Bible !!!! Now ehnnn I’m coming for everything like a comet!!! Mo ti blowww kpaaaaa!!! 🥰📈😤😤

In related news, Crayon has opened up on how he abandoned school to focus fully on music.

In an interview with Kim Oprah on Hip TV, the Mavin signee disclosed that he gave up on obtaining a university degree after taking the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) five times.

During his fifth attempt, the singer said he had already encountered a friend in the music industry named Baby Fresh and he took that as an inspiration to make a “significant sacrifice” for the sake of his music career.

Crayon who once revealed that he is the first millionaire in his family’s generation insinuated that he could have gotten into the University of Lagos, because he was halfway through the post-UTME before making the decision to leave the hall, a choice he never told his parents.

He added that part of what gave him confidence was that after he met Babyfresh, he also met music executive Don Jazzy, who subsequently signed him to the Mavin record label.
