Nobody should take my son’s body without my consent, DNA is a must – Mohbad’s dad replies Tonto Dikeh (VIDEO)

Seeking justice for Mohbad, the police dug up his remains for an autopsy, aiming to crack the case wide open. Tonto Dikeh, after a nail-biting wait, pushed for the body's release for funeral. However, the late singer's dad slammed the brakes, insisting justice takes the front seat and a DNA test for his grandson before granting permission, warned against any unauthorized actions.

Joseph Aloba, the father of the deceased Nigerian singer Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has responded to the requests for the return of his son’s body for burial.

Recall that Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, had earlier taken to social media to call on the Nigerian police to release Mohbad’s body for it to be properly buried.

Following the online appeal from Tonto and others, Mohbad’s father promptly voiced his opposition on social media, strongly rejecting their proposed plans.

Continuing his stance, Mr. Aloba emphasized that the collective fight for justice for Mohbad would be undermined by a reburial, as it would only cause the issue to fade away.

The elderly man underscored the importance of conducting a DNA test on Mohbad’s son, Liam, before contemplating the reburial of his remains.

In his words:

“I heard some people want to go and carry Mohbad’s body. When this boy was alive, he was my son and even after death, he is still my son. Nobody should go and take his body. If anything must be done, I will be the one to authorize it.

We are seeking Justice for Mohbad and you people are talking of burial. What remains after burial? Let Justice take place first and DNA is very necessary please.”
