- Do2dtun has chastised people who deny their estranged partners access to their kids.
- Using Saint Obi as an example, he claimed the veteran who couldn’t see his kids eventually died because of it.
- Admonishing guilty parties, he said kids aren’t objects that one should weaponize.
Nigerian on-air personality, Kayode Ojuolape Oladotun, popularly known as Do2dtun has said that denying actor Saint Obi access to his children eventually took his life.
Do2tun made this known in a recent post on X formerly known as Twitter while addressing couples who use their children as a weapon during custody battle.
Do2dtun who recounted his conversation with a member of Saint Obi’s family, revealed that the actor died in his family house in Jos. He wrote:
“Let’s normalize the fact that children are not objects. They have rights. When a child demands the right to see or be with a parent and you deny them, you have trampled on their rights. Listen! A child is not a material meant for one person to keep.”
Do2dtun who is currently fighting with his ex-wife over custody, continued:
“I spoke to a family member of Saint Obi. He passed away in their house in Jos and you have absolutely no idea what that man went through. Denying him his kids and fighting eventually took his life.
“You believe you are winning a fight by weaponizing kids? I am sorry; YOU ARE A LOSER.”
Saint Obi came onto the acting scene in 1996 after doing a commercial for Peugeot on NTA and went on to feature in more than 100 movies.
Saint Obi died in Plateau State on May 8, 2023 at the age of 57 after battling a protracted ailment. He was buried on August 18 in his hometown Umuezealaeze, Alaenyi Ogwa in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Imo State.
In a similar story, Do2dtun cried out over his inability to have access to his children, while calling out his estranged wife over her alleged involvement in making it happen.
In 2022, Do2dtun’s wife who is also popular singer, D’banj’s sister, Omotayo, filed for separation over forced abortion, domestic violence and emotional abuse.
FCID invited Do2dtun for questioning regarding the allegations on January 16.
The duo’s marriage which took place in 2013, produced two children but Do2dtun has lamented how he hasn’t seen them in 10 months. Revealing that he misses them badly, he cautioned single mothers against keeping the children away from their father.
Without naming his estranged wife, Do2dtun stated that slowed legal process, lies and deception won’t break him but all he wants is time with his kids. He added that every child needs a father as well as a mother.
