Oladips’ obituary post deleted on Instagram, new video posted


The obituary post on the Instagram page of Nigerian singer Oladipupo Oladimeji, aka Oladips, has been deleted. The post was deleted moments ago on Thursday, November 23.

A new video showing Oladips vibing to a song from his new album, Superhero Adugbo has, however, been posted on the Instagram page.

Oladips can be seen with his head bald, after having a clean shave as opposed to his usual neck-length dread hair. A woman can also be spotted in the background of the video giving thanks. See video:

Recall news surfaced on November 15 that the rapper had died following a health issue he had allegedly been battling with for months. He was announced to have died on Tuesday night, November 14, 2023. His management announced his shocking demise in a brief statement shared on the rapper’s Instagram post on Wednesday.

The death of Oladips has, however, become contentious with social media reports saying he is still alive.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported fans of the late Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips doubted his death, grappling unto a recent post as a beacon of hope.

This is coming after the management of the late rapper released an album he was working on before he died. The album titled Superhero Adugbo release was announced in an Instagram post on Thursday with photos of the deceased as the album cover. The post read:

“#SuperheroAdugbo Album out now.”

The album contains 17 tracks including a collaboration with music artiste, Trod.

This made many of Oladips’ fans to doubt if he has truly passed away with the way his album was still released as planned, prior his ‘death’.
