Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking, has evoked emotions after claiming that signs from the late Mohbad could have been noticed if people paid more attention to his lyrics.

During and interview with media personality, Adesope Olajide, Patoranking was asked about Nigerian music and how he contributes to humanity through his songs instead of leading a glamorous life and neglecting his people, unlike some artists.

In response, he emphasized his connection to the streets and urged people to pay attention to song lyrics.

Using Mohbad as an example, he suggested that if people paid closer attention to lyrics, they might have noticed signs in the late singer’s music.

His statement was: If we had paid attention to the lyrics, we would have seen signs from Mohbad.”
