Teni comments on Davido referring to her as his younger sister, despite both being age mates – VIDEO

In the Nigerian music realm, Teni and Davido, acclaimed artists, demonstrate a genuine and supportive bond. Few months ago, Davido fondly referred to Teni as his younger sister, sparking criticism from those who perceived it as an insult considering their similar ages. In a recent interview, Teni eloquently shared her perspective on the matter, unveiling the notable sacrifices Davido made to collaborate on her project

In a widely circulated video, Teniola Apata, a renowned Nigerian singer, recounted the various ways Davido supported her as a colleague.

This was her graceful response to online criticism over the 31-year-old Unavailable crooner publicly referring to her as his younger sister, despite them being of the same age.

Teni questioned the sanity of those critics, expressing her lack of concern for whatever title Davido gives her, appreciating his impact in turning her song into a tremendous success.

In highlighting Davido’s generosity, Teni shared how the singer went the extra mile by canceling a meeting and extending his time to shoot her music video with her.

The ‘Billionaire’ crooner who is turning 31 in December, cleverly silenced critics by drawing an analogy with her driver addressing her as “madam” despite his older age.

This is coming days after Teni recently recovered from a sickness that almost rendered her speechless.

Taking to her social media page, Teni shared a video where she explained how weak she was during the illness.

According to Teni, she was so down that she was only able to lay on her bed and could barely speak to people. The music star added that she kept on sleeping that she started to wonder if she was pregnant.

Teni then noted that it is good for people to praise God as she marveled at how much the sickness affected her.

She said:

“Ah! E good make person dey praise God o, all last week my mouth no fit open like this the way I dey open am o. Na so I just dey for bed, I just humble, we thank God. See I sleep sleep my eyeball roll back.

“I con dey wonder say shey I don get belle ni? Okay who con give me the belle? Who con give me the belle wey I dey sleep like say tse tse fly bite me? Make we dey thank God oo.”
