“He lied because he didn’t want to go down alone” -Mimi Orjiekwe speaks on court case with Michael Diongoli

Nollywood actress and businesswoman Mimi Orjiekwe has opened up about her ongoing legal battle with billionaire Michael Diongoli.

Michael Diongoli was reportedly detained for fraud after he allegedly embezzled billions of dollars from a retired Army colonel and other people.

Diongoli appeared in court with his two firms, UK-Don Group and UK-Dion Investment Limited, on eight counts of conspiracy, gained by deceit, and fraud.

Many of the billionaire’s possessions, including those he gave to his numerous side chicks—whom many believed to include BBNaija Nengi, Mimi Orjiekwe, Nuella Njubigbo, and Onyi Alex—were seized by the police after his arrest.

Nengi’s Range Rover was also allegedly seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

After purchasing furnishings from Mimi Orjiekwe’s interior decoration firm, Michael Diongoli allegedly called her out and raised several claims against her, and the actress was taken to the Okoye police station Special Fraud Unit.

Diongoli’s attorney claims that she refused to settle an enormous amount of unpaid naira that was owed for storage and clearance fees.

Mimi revealed on Instagram how Diongoli, whose name she omitted, had lied about her and was trying to discredit her.

Mimi Orjiekwe has stated that she will speak up eventually, but for the time being, she won’t say anything because the case is still pending in court.

God sees all!! God knows all!! Few months ago someone told a lie that could destroy my business because he didn’t want to go down alone !! Someday I will speak about it .. (We are still in the court of law)

But the point is. More doors, blessings tripled afterward. Am not noisy if you know me! But am overwhelmed… My Dad told me then to let go and watch God… God bless his soul!! God is great!!”.
