A female artist has triggered backlashes from netizens over a sculpture of Pete Edochie she recently designed


A female sculptor’s ambitious project involving a sculpture of the iconic Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has sparked a flurry of reactions on social media.

The venerable actor, widely revered, has undoubtedly served as an inspiration for various individuals to express their admiration through creative endeavours, including a recent life-sized sculpture crafted in his honour by an artist in Enugu.

Sharing the art on Facebook, a young man named Henry Nonso posted an image of the human-sized sculpture meticulously created by the Enugu-based female sculptor.

He urged people to assess her craftsmanship, providing a real photo of the actor to facilitate a comparative analysis.

Captioning the post, he wrote:

“Female sculptor in Enugu molded legendary Nollywood actor Pete Edochie. “Rate her art on a scale of / 10.”
