In a video glimpsed on his Instagram page, the singer was seen positioned at a distance from where the lawmakers were seated, standing as the Senate president introduced him as a special guest at the Georgia General Assembly meeting.

Announced as a Nigerian-American artist, born and bred in Atlanta, Georgia, the lawmakers rose in unison to welcome him, showering the music star with an enthusiastic round of applause.

Davido graciously reciprocated, acknowledging their warm gesture with a wave of his hands.

The Senate president proceeded to highlight his musical accomplishments, not just in Atlanta, Georgia, but across various corners of the globe.

In the caption of the clip, the music star highlighted that Georgia lawmakers acknowledged him as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen,’ expressing gratitude for the goodness of God in his life.
