Ex-boyfriend of Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing, Opeyemi Falegan, has stirred reactions and controversy with his unconventional take on parental care, using the late Mohbad and his father as a case study.

Mohbad, a rising star in the Nigerian music industry, tragically passed away some months ago under suspicious circumstances, leading to a whirlwind of controversy surrounding his death.

Falegan, in his Instagram post, shared advice directed at men, cautioning them that investing in their children’s well-being does not guarantee reciprocal care in old age.

Drawing an indirect comparison to the late Mohbad’s life, where he reportedly reunited with his mother a decade after she abandoned the family, and how his father took the blame for his death, Falegan urged men to prioritize self-care to avoid a similar fate.
