Mohbad’s cousin opens up on breaking singer’s neck

Mohbad's cousin denies breaking his neck to fit into his casket

The cousin of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has come forward with a revelation on why the singer’s neck was bent inside his casket.

Darosha Losobeh, his cousin, disputes breaking the deceased’s neck.

It was claimed in a widely shared video that Mohbad’s neck was broken by Losobeh in order to fit him into the coffin for his burial.

In response to accusations of breaking Mohbad’s neck, Darosha asked that  people should stop making wrong accusations against him.

Crying out on his Instagram page, the late singer’s cousin and personal assistant , complained that the accusation was having a negative impact on his mental health.

He explained why Mohbad’s neck was broken to fit him inside the casket, stating that they had no option than to bury him that way since the mortuary they went to deposit his body was already filled.

According to Mohbad’s cousin, they were advised to pay for an ambulance and a coffin where they can keep him till the next day.

Darosha stated that he was the one who paid for the coffin and ambulance, adding that he had no idea the casket was too small to hold Mohbad’s body.

He wrote:

I’m so down to the extent that I had to write this to clear this whole story about me going online that I bent my love’s neck; this is the craziest and saddest thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. That I broke my brother’s neck, seriously, this hurt me so much.

“What happened about the neck was that when we got to Ikorodu, we were told there was no space to keep his body at the mortuary, and we didn’t want him buried that night. So, a worker there advised the family to pay for an ambulance and a coffin where we can keep him until morning, and the same ambulance would drive him down to the place of burial.

The whole family agreed to the idea because the ambulance that took us to Ikorodu was complaining that they had to leave the same night back to the island. It was only his mum that was not present there that midnight.”

Recall that Mohbad reportedly died on September 12 at the age of 27

It’s worth noting that Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but departed from the label in 2022. He had gained widespread recognition for his hit singles such as “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” in collaboration with Rexxie.
