“KCee lured me to Lagos under pretense” – Igwe Credo cries out

Igwe Credo also alleged that the singer got him arrested in Lagos

Nigerian chanter Francis Akunne, popularly known as Igwe Credo, has come forward with a stunning revelation, claiming that renowned musician KCee had duped him into traveling to Lagos under false pretenses.

Igwe Credo expressed his anguish, detailing the alleged manipulation he had endured at the hands of KCee.

In a recent interview, the young performer disclosed that since the beginning of the whole mess, KCee has only paid him and Ojazzy N500k.

Together with the date and the purpose of the money, he provided a breakdown of the payments.

“I was fighting for the publishing rights of the song, which is entitled to everybody who participated in the song. I did the chant and hyping of E-Money in Ojapiano. I am asking for the split-ship for the two songs I helped create.”

Igwe Credo revealed that he was involved in the songwriting process in addition to serving as Ojazzy’s manager.

During the conversation, Igwe Credo mentioned that ever since appearing on YanBaba’s show and disclosing his interactions with KCee, his life had become a living hell for him.

He revealed in the interview how, after his conversation with YanBaba became viral in November of last year, KCee lured him to Lagos and got him detained.

What happened was that a client called us and said he had a gig for us. We charged them N2.5m, but we agreed on N2m. One million was paid into our account, and flight tickets were booked for me and Ojazzy.

On arriving in Lagos, we were picked up at the airport by the police and were thrown in jail. We never knew it was KCee who was behind it all. He lured me and Ojazzy from Awka to Lagos so he could deal with us.”

Igwe Credo revealed that after spending a day in custody with Ojazzy, his managers got them both released.
