- Iyabo Ojo addresses the distraction caused by the demand for a DNA test, asserting that it was not part of the initial pursuit of justice in Mohbad’s case.
Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo expressed her strong disapproval of the ongoing focus on a DNA test for the paternity of Liam Light, the son of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.
Instead, she emphasized the need to concentrate on the quest for justice in the untimely death of the talented singer.
During the live session, Iyabo Ojo addressed the controversial demand for a DNA test made by the late singer’s father concerning the paternity of his grandson, Liam Light.
She deemed the DNA test a distraction from the primary goal of seeking justice for Mohbad’s death.
The actress asserted that determining Liam Light’s biological paternity would not absolve or implicate Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, as a suspect in the ongoing investigation.
Iyabo Ojo urged that the issue at hand is more of a family matter that should be resolved privately, rather than diverting attention from the pursuit of the truth behind the singer’s demise.
Iyabo Ojo concluded by emphasizing that Wunmi Aloba, Mohbad’s wife, holds the authority to decide whether or not to consent to the DNA test, pending the results of the autopsy report on the late singer.
In her words;
“DNA was not part of our justice for Mohbad, so it does not really concern us. But his dad came out to say he wants DNA because that was one of the distractions and narratives they brought out, and he wants them to do it since they want to do it. Okay, that’s fine! But that’s a family matter; it has got nothing to do with justice for Mohbad.”
