Mr. Ibu reportedly undergoes another leg surgery, hardly talks again

In a profoundly saddening and disheartening update on the health challenges faced by Nollywood's cherished comic figure, Mr. Ibu, it's been revealed that he recently underwent another surgery. His condition has worsened to the point he hardly talks. AGN president, Emeka Rollas, brought forth this heartbreaking information in a widely circulated interview, providing insight into the ongoing difficulties Mr. Ibu is confronting.

The health saga of Nollywood stalwart John Okafor, aka Mr. Ibu, seems to be hitting a rough patch, as reports of him going under the scalpel for yet another operation surfaced online.

In a widely shared telephone conversation with Vanguard, Dr. Emeka Rollas, the esteemed National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided a heartfelt update on Mr. Ibu’s health.

Regrettably, his condition is reported to have worsened to the extent that he scarcely engages in conversation.

Mr Ibu, according to Rollas, underwent another surgery, involving the removal of a portion from the same leg that underwent amputation just last month.

Emeka Rollas said;

“We are resigning to fate concerning Mr Ibu..As we speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation,”.

This is coming days after Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of Nigerian actor John Okafor, known as Mr Ibu, regained her freedom from police custody.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that actress Doris Ogala broke the story, asserting that Mr Ibu’s wife had previously demanded her arrest alongside her stepson on charges of stealing N300 million from her husband’s bank account.

Also, the ailing actor’s former manager confirmed that Jasmine and one of Ibu’s sons were undergoing investigations at the Alagbon police station.

The charges against Jasmine have been dropped, and she has been released from the police station after over two weeks.

In recent information on blogger Tosin SSliverdam’s page, he confirmed that Jasmine and Mr Ibu’s son had been released from custody.
