Veteran Nigerian film actress, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett has spoken on one of the attributes a real actor should possess.
The Thespian says a “true actor” should be willing to embrace all aspects of their profession, including sharing a kiss on screen.
According to her, any thespian who is unwilling to engage in on-screen kisses isn’t a “true actor.”
She emphasized the importance of separating personal preferences from movie roles.
The 82 year old veteran actress noted that bringing one’s personal beliefs into acting, such as reluctance to engage in on-screen kisses, reflects a lack of dedication to the profession. KFN quoted Ajai as saying in a recent interview:
“If you can’t kiss on screen, you’re not an actor, you don’t bring your personal preferences into play.”
In other news, Nollywood actress, Juliana Olayode popularly known as Toyo Baby has in a new interview with The Sun, talked about how it has been reuniting with star actress, Funke Akindele, who she’d had a falling out with and the hardest and worst parts of being an actor.
Speaking about how it feels to be reunited with Funke Akindele, particularly in the upcoming movie “A Tribe Called Judah”, Juliana said:
“It feels great to be back on set with Funke Akindele and there is a lot of emotions; sweet, exciting. Before we did A Tribe Called Judah, we did Bashorun Gaa together but it wasn’t her project. It was for BAP (Bolanle Austen-Peters) and I believe that will be out next year. It’s always good vibes, energy, fun and laughter being on her set. It felt so good to be back.
