Outrage as Pastor Bolaji invites Spyro, actors, BBN stars to perform at church’s Christmas Carol [VIDEO]
  • Netizens have fumed over reports of Spyro’s performance during a church’s Christmas carol celebration.
  • Pastor Bolaji is being slammed for inviting secular musicians to perform in a religious setting.
  • Asides Spyro, actors like Bisola Aiyeola, Sharon Ooja, Uzor Arukewe; BBNaija star Dorathy Bachor amongst others were invited.

The Lead preacher at Harvesters International Christian Center, Pastor Bolaji Idowu has come under fire for inviting the famous Afrobeat singer, Spyro to perform at the church’s Christmas Carol.

The Christmas Carol that was held at the Church’s branch in Lekki, Lagos on 17th of December, 2023 sparked a wave of reactions.

For this year’s Carol, aside from Spyro, other celebrities like Daniel Effiong, Bisola Ayeola, Dorathy Bachor, Sharon Ooja, Uzor Arukwe, Adeh Gbolahan, and Kenneth Ophopho, were invited, as seen on the flier.

The preacher had announced it on his Instagram page, with the caption:

“Can’t wait for this ! It’s today , starts in less than an hour.”

Pastor Bolaji Idowu has since been ridiculed by netizens who condemned the idea of mixing worldly practices with Christianity.

It would be recalled that a Celestial Church also invited the controversial street rapper, Portable and Fuji singer, Pasuma to their praise night some weeks ago. Watch Spyro perform and some reactions below:

This flier isn’t giving Harvesters a good image ngl, don’t get me wrong God loves everyone on this flier but I think it’s a unnecessary post.”
