Oladips throws a subtle jab at Zlatan Ibile after he described him as 'Lazarus'


Nigerian rap star, Oladidupo Olabode Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, joined in the celebration of his colleague, Omoniyi Raphael’s 29th birthday, widely recognized as Zlatan.

The festivities were captured in a viral online video where Oladips captured himself enjoying a drink in the club during the birthday merriment, with Zlatan in the background.

In a light-hearted moment, Zlatan approached Oladips and playfully referred to him as Lazarus, alluding to a recent incident where Oladips was pronounced dead and later declared alive.

Alongside the video, Oladips shared a caption expressing his love for Zlatan but also acknowledging the teasing and playful bullying he endures from him.

In another report, Oladips opened up on the complexities of his experience when he was still signed to Reminisce’s LRR Records.

He said that despite having the hit track “Lalakukulala” which he dropped in 2017, he was so broke that he could not feed.

Oladips who recently caused a stir over a death hoax featured on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast co-hosted by OAP Nedu, Husband Material and others.

The artiste recalled how Lalakulala was getting massive play on the airwaves but he did not have food at home. This among others is the reason he left the record label in 2019.

It may be recalled that In 2019, he stated that he left LRR Records with only N23,000 in his bank account, and alleged that Reminisce made him sign a fraudulent deal.

Also, in the same year, Oladips released a diss track titled “Maybe,” where he made it known that he regretted signing to Reminisce’s label. According to him, Reminisce said he was not making money for the label and that as such made life difficult for him as his signee.

The controversial entertainer further claimed that the music label took advantage of him, cut off his income and made him lose other business opportunities.
