Toyin ‘Tomato’ Adegbola bags honorary doctorate degree from US university

2023 is close to the end but it has seen quite a number of celebrities honoured with doctorate degrees in prestigious institutions. From Nancy Isime to comedian, Klint Da Drunk, Pete Edochie, BBNaija Emmanuel Umoh, Lateef Adedimeji, Gabriel Afolayan and now Toyin Adegbola.

Nigerian actress, Toyin Adegbola, popularly known as Toyin Tomato, has received an honorary doctorate degree in Entertainment and Philosophy from the Christ Proclaimer Theological Seminary in affiliation with Faith University, USA.

The actress shared the goodness in an Instagram post on Thursday night with photos of herself dressed in a graduation gown.

Toyin also posted pictures of her award and certificate on the photo-sharing platform.

Captioning the post, she wrote:

“Another feather added to my cap! With an honorary doctorate degree today in Entertainment and philosophy by the Christ proclaimer Theological Seminary USA In conjunction with imole TV. Congratulations to me, Dr, Yeye Toyin Adegbola jp.”

Celebrities like Faithia Williams and Madam Saje congratulated her in the comment section of the post.

Toyin is married to Anthony Kolawole Adegbola. They have two children together.

Her acting credits include Asewo to re Mecca and Ayitale.

In a similar story, Nigerian actor, Gabriel Afolayan via his Instagram page, shared photos and clips of his ceremony where he was honored with a Doctorate degree.

Gabriel Afolayan alongside Lateef Adedimeji was honored with a Doctor of Philosophy in Arts and Culture from Estam University. Expressing gratitude to the University, he promised to keep shaping the world positively with his Art.

Film actress, Biola Bayo also flaunted her latest achievement after bagging a doctorate degree from Georgia University.

The actress who welcomed her first child months ago, graduated from Moren Christian University in Atlanta, USA, with a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian leadership and business.

Captioning the video she shared on her Instagram page, she reintroduced herself as Dr. Abiola Adebayo Akinrinde.
