Assault: Papa Show bows to pressure, apologises to actress Temidayo Morakinyo

Months after physical assault accusations by Temidayo Morakinyo, Papa Show breaks silence

Actor Shoneye Olamilekan aka Papa Show has apologised to actress Temidiayo Morakinyo for assaulting her on a movie set.

In May 2023, Temidayo took to her Instagram account to accuse the actor of assault, saying the incident happened on a movie set in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The videos released show her weeping with bleeding and swollen lips. The actress alleged that Papa Show punched her in the face after she reported his excesses to her boss on Thursday.

Explaining how it happened, Temidayo said she was on a movie set on Wednesday when Papa Show called her rudely to buy him a drink. She further stated that she felt ridiculed with how he talked to her, but did as he said.

The actress however reported him to her bosses, Niyi Johnson and Afeez Seriki, who promised to address the issue.

The incident led to Papa Show’s suspension by the African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK).

However, in a recent interview with actress Biola Bayo, Papa Show begged for forgiveness from the public and the actress, seven months after the incident. The Thespian said:

“Hello everyone, I am using this medium to say I am truly sorry for what happened in the last few months between a lady called Temidayo. What is gone is gone, and I feel that even to her personally, from the bottom of my heart, I am saying that I am truly sorry for what happened to you and from me. I am very sorry.”
