‘I once performed for a bottle of beer’ – Odumodublvck

Odumodublvck recalls early days as an artist

The popular Nigerian artist, Tochukwu Ojogwu, well known as Odumodublvck recounts how he was given a bottle of beer as a fee for his stage performance.

He claimed that the incident occurred many years ago, when his career was just getting started.

Odumodublvck revealed this in the most recent episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, co-hosted by Motolani and Melody.

“The bottles of beer that were given to us weren’t even the planned payment. The owner gave it to us out of his generosity and also because he said our performance was great. This happened in 2017.”

The rapper added that even in 2018, he performed at events while dressed in “thrift” wears.

Odumodublvck gained notoriety earlier this year when his hit song “Declan Rice” went viral on social media.

In July, Arsenal used his song ‘Declan Rice’ to introduce their record signing, Declan Rice, who joined the club from West Ham for a cost of £105 million.

In a recent story, Odumodublvck reacts to suggested rap battle between him and Vector.

Odumodublvck who doesn’t fail to engage tweeps on the microblogging platform playfully declined the proposal, citing that people were attempting to set him up.

In the tweet, he recalled how fans urged him to represent Nigeria in a rap battle against the American star, Eminem.

UNA GO JUST DEY SET PERSON UP

NASO THAT TIME UNA SAY MAKE I REPRESENT NIGERIA FOR RAP BATTLE AGAINST EMINEM 😂😂.”

In a follow-up tweet, Odumodublvck while reacting to a tweet made by Vector drew the rapper’s attention to the battle that’s being suggested by fans. He humorously admitted that his career just started.

He wrote:

“BABA DEM SAY MAKE I FOLLOW YOU DO BATTLE RAP 😂😂😂😂😂 MY CAREER WEY JUST START 😂

@VectorThaViper.”
