Controversy brews as popular comedian and social media influencer, Mr Jollof, has voiced his disappointment at the renowned music artist, Duncan Mighty.
In a recent Instagram post, Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof accused Duncan Mighty of accepting a payment of N3 million to perform at a show, only to fail in showing up.
He claimed he paid the musician N2 million in booking fees and N1 million in logistics, but despite the concert’s prolongation, he never showed up.
The comic claimed that although the concert was scheduled to end at midnight, he decided to keep it going until three in the morning in the hopes that Duncan Mighty would arrive, having assured him he would.
In an audio statement posted on his Instagram page, Mr. Jollof stated:
“After the show closed around 3:27 am, I sent Duncan Mighty a video, informing him that the event has ended that he should turn back and I sent him my account details to refund me.
“When I woke up the next day, I saw an alert of N800,000 from Duncan Mighty instead of the N3 million I gave him. Anyone close to him should advise him to refund me in full.”
Additionally, he chastised DJ Barbie for failing to appear at the same event despite being paid N600,000.
According to Mr. Jollof, she blocked him on social media when he asked for a refund, claiming that he was harassing her.
Earlier this year, WITHIN NIGERIA reports that Mr Jollof got hospitalized over drinks at a club.
The show promoter who went clubbing, revealed he bought a fake drink that triggered his health condition. In the trending clip, Jollof revealed that he is an ulcer patient and the fake drink made him spend about N400k on hospital bills.
