  • National Hospital Abuja has shared updates on veteran actor, Zack Orji’s health condition.
  • It was disclosed that the veteran actor is not responding to treatment and is in stable condition.
  • Zack Orji was rushed to the hospital’s ICU two days before the New Year after he slumped.

Ailing veteran actor Zack Orji has started responding to treatment and he is in a stable condition.

Spokesman of the National Hospital in Abuja where he is currently admitted, Tayo Hastrup disclosed this to The Nation on Monday, December 1. Tayo Hastrup said:

“He has started talking. He is in stable condition. His wife is by his side. We really thank God for him.”

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the movie star was rushed to the hospital on Friday, December 29 after slumping in his house in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Meanwhile, first lady Senator Remi Tinubu and wife of the vice president Nana Shettima also visited Zack Orji at the hospital.

They were at the hospital to meet the first baby of the year and were accompanied by the minister of women affairs and social development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye; wife of the minister for works, Rachael Umahi, among others.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that veteran Nollywood actress, Ireti Doyle, narrated how she recently survived carbon monoxide poisoning.

The actress disclosed that the incident, which occurred on November 19, 2023, left her bleeding from her nose and foaming in the mouth.

Recounting her encounter in an Instagram post on Sunday, she described the situation as a testimony. In Ireti Doyle’s words:

“I was found unconscious in the car that had been sent to ferry us. It was a bizarre case of carbon monoxide poisoning. I was foaming at the mouth, blood trickling down my nose.

“The gas had somehow found its way through the AC vents, the driver and I sitting in the car, inhaling that shit. Carbon monoxide poisoning is not just from generators. It is silent and swift.

“The ONLY reason I’m alive to tell this story is because God in His infinite mercy, said NO. God is real and faithful. I am a testament to His faithfulness.

“On this day, Jehovah Jireh aligned the best Nigeria had to offer – people, medical personnel, every single resource and logistics required at that moment and the following days in my favour.

“Had ONE thing shifted out of place, I wouldn’t be here. This is a testimony and a teachable moment.”
