The Yoruba Nollywood realm is in mourning as the curtain falls on the life of veteran actor Deji Aderemi Olofa Ina, who passed away shortly after the dawn of the new year in 2024.

Seun Oloketuyi, the seasoned film producer and CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON), was the bearer of the news, breaking it on his Instagram page.

The confirmation of Deji Aderemi Olofa Ina’s demise was echoed by another veteran actor, Saidi Balogun, on his official Instagram page.

Saidi Balogun shared a photo of the actor on his page and wrote, “Good Night Legend chief Deji Akinremi (Olofa Ina) RIP.”

As of this moment in reporting, the details surrounding the demise of Deji Aderemi Olofa Ina remains undisclosed.

Meanwhile, Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, who visited veteran actor Zack Orji at a private hospital in Abuja on Tuesday, January 2, shared a new update about his health status. 

Musawa, who met with the actor’s wife, Ngozi Orji, and some family members, revealed he was transferred from the National Hospital to a private hospital where he underwent brain surgery.

According to the minister, the visit was to support the veteran actor, wish him a quick recovery, and convey the federal government’s goodwill to him and his family.

Hailing Orji for his roles in the movie industry, she appealed to Nigerians to remember the actor in their prayers.

Musawa said: “I want Nigerians to pray for him and do what we can to give the family the necessary support to save his life.”
