Christian Oliver, a German-born Hollywood actor, dies along with his two young daughters when their small plane crashed into the Caribbean Sea shortly after takeoff.
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force released a statement on Thursday announcing Oliver’s death aboard a private owned, one-engine aircraft.
Report has it that shortly after the crash, fishermen, divers, and the coast guard rushed to the site and found four bodies.
Oliver, 51, passed away together with pilot Robert Sachs and his daughters Madita, 10, and Annik, 12.
The aircraft was on its way to St Lucia, arriving just after midday on Thursday, from Bequia, a small island in the Grenadines.
A few days prior, Oliver shared a picture of a tropical beach on Instagram with the message, “Greetings from somewhere in paradise!,to the community, to love.. Here we come, 2024!”, giving the impression that the family was on vacation.
Oliver, real name Christian Klepser, has appeared in more than 60 movies and television shows, with a minor role in the Tom Cruise film “Valkyrie.”
Oliver also appeared in the well-liked police series “Alarm fur Cobra 11” for two seasons in his home country of Germany.
