Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu has set the internet ablaze with his claims that Grammy-nominated singer Davido paid a substantial sum of money for his recent linkup with fellow music sensation Wizkid.
The unexpected meeting between the two music stars occurred at an event organized in Lagos for DJ Skyla, the younger sister of Wizkid’s manager and baby mama, Jada Pollock.
The encounter between David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and Ayo “Wizkid” Balogun took place amid their longstanding rumoured rivalry.
The duo, known for their massive influence on the Nigerian music industry, surprised fans by warmly hugging and exchanging pleasantries at the event.
The Master of Ceremonies acknowledged and announced their presence, further fueling excitement among onlookers.
However, the heartwarming moment has now been clouded by Uche Maduagwu’s bold claims on the Trends and Bants show.
Uche Maduagwu asserted that the head of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), Davido, allegedly coughed out millions of naira to secure the opportunity to hang out with the Starboy Entertainment founder, Wizkid.
The controversial actor went on to challenge Davido to publicly deny his claim, asserting the seriousness of his allegations.
“I like Davido, but he is a clout-chaser. Recently, they said he hung out with Wizkid. Did you know how much he paid to hang out with Wizkid? Everybody pays to hang out with Wizkid.
“Davido paid millions of naira to hang out with Wizkid. I am serious. Can Davido come out to say he never paid to hang out with him?“ Uche Maduagwu said on the show.
