Mr Aloba wants Wunmi to hand over Liam to him for DNA – Falana fires back at Mohbad’s dad’s allegations

Mohbad's dad, still at odds with his daughter-in-law over his persistent push for a DNA test on grandson Liam, took to the internet crying for help, claiming to be threatened by Wunmi and her lawyer Femi Falana. In a fiery response, Falana denied the allegations, laying out his terms, including the demand to hand over Liam for a DNA test.

Human rights crusader and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana, swiftly countered the allegations made by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba.

Aloba had earlier asserted that his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, and her legal representative, Femi Falana, are allegedly hatching a sinister plan against his life..

Responding in a letter released by Falana & Falana Chambers, it was revealed that Mohbad’s father, through his attorneys, instructed Wunmi to hand over Liam (his grandson) for a DNA test.

The Falana Chambers replied to Mohbad’s father through his attorneys, stating that for Liam’s protection under his child’s rights, and considering the DNA test involves taking blood samples, Mr. Aloba and his lawyers must obtain a court order before they can proceed with the request to hand over the child for testing.

According to the letter, this procedure was because Mr Aloba is not Liam’s parent and cannot directly request DNA.

Falana noted that Mr. Aloba has not pursued the required court order but, instead, has chosen to give interviews defaming the Falanas and is now accusing them of attempting to harm him.

Mr Falana also instructed him to cease making such accusations, warning that if he persists, they will take his claims to court to disprove any threat to his life.

Mohbad’s dad was accused of attempting to seize his late son’s assets, which was suggested as a motive behind his recent actions.

This is coming months the police said they have sent for Aloba to come and pick his son’s body but he reportedly refused to show up.

Amid the saga, the police emphasised that the body could only be released to the late singer’s father.
