Davido to headline UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert amid latest scandal and petition

The UnitedMasters music platform will be hosting a Grammy weekend, Ahead of the 66th Academy Grammy Awards.


Amid the latest scandal surrounding Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, he is set to headline the highly-anticipated UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert.

The UnitedMasters music platform will host a Grammy weekend prior to the 66th Academy Grammy Awards, which will be held on Sunday, February 4th at Crypto Com Arena in Los Angeles.

Davido will take center stage at this prestigious event, alongside Dominican rapper, Tokischa and South Africa-based DJ Artist Uncle Waffles.

The concert will be held at Hollywood Palladium on Friday, February 2nd, 2024.

Last year’s concert gathered more than 2,500 people, including Jay Z and Beyonce, Nas, DJ Khaled, Wiz Khalifa, Future, Damson Idris, and others.

Davido’s popularity has skyrocketed after the release of his comeback album, Timeless, which has received over a billion streams.

His new album had increased the singer’s reputation and earned him a Grammy nomination. Timeless received three nominations for Best Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Global Music Album at the 2024 Grammys.

Davido had earlier made a statement on how he always pray to win Grammy.

During his recent interview, he said:

“Everybody knows what one of my prayer points is now. I have been nominated for three Grammys. So, everybody knows what I am praying for every day I wake up.”

Davido will compete for Best Global Music Performance alongside Burna Boy, Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu, and Gaurav Shah.

In addition, he would face off against Bokante, Susana Baca, Burna Boy, and Shakti for the Best Global Music Album title.

He is up against well-known performers in the Best African Music Performance category, including Tyla from South Africa, Asake, Ayra Starr, and Burna Boy.
