The former Liverpool star, now a prominent figure in Al-Nassr, spoke to local media following the ceremony, expressing his happiness and gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received.
Sadio Mane highlighted the honour of receiving congratulations from the country’s president.
“Honestly, I am happy [with] the fact the president has congratulated me just as much as, well, I would say not just my teammates.
“I think that all the people have congratulated me and wished me [luck] so I am happy and I hope that it will be okay,” Sadio Mane said.
