Popular Nigerian activist VeryDarkman has taken to social media to call out popular actress Tonto Dikeh and BBNaija star Phyna for allegedly promoting products without the necessary approval from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
VeryDarkman, who has been at the center of several controversies, clarified that his actions are not driven by personal issues with the individuals involved but rather a genuine concern for the well-being of the public.
The accusations come on the heels of a previous incident where Tonto Dikeh reportedly involved the police in a matter related to Verydarkman.
However, the activist was released after questioning by law enforcement officers.
VeryDarkman, known for his outspoken nature, pointed out the potential dangers associated with using products that lack NAFDAC approval.
He stressed that his intention is to protect the masses from potential health hazards that may arise from the consumption of unregulated products.
Providing evidence to support his claims, VeryDarkman showcased one of the skincare products endorsed by Tonto Dikeh, asserting that it lacks the necessary NAFDAC number.
The activist further extended his criticism to Phyna, accusing the artist of promoting a product in the past without proper NAFDAC approval.
VeryDarkman issued a warning to Phyna, urging her to address the matter promptly.
While acknowledging the ongoing tension between himself and Tonto Dikeh, VeryDarkman emphasized that his current actions are solely motivated by his commitment to public welfare.
He asserted that individuals who engage in product promotion have a responsibility to ensure that the items they endorse comply with regulatory standards.
