Singer Rema vows to win Grammy during surprise visit to Billionaire Tony Elumelu’s mansion – VIDEO

Rema, riding high on the waves of success from his smash hit "Calm Down" last year, wrapped up 2023 with a bitter taste due to a Grammy snub. Despite this setback, he brushed off the disappointment and, in a bold move, paid a visit to Tony Elumelu's mansion. There, he confidently assured the billionaire magnate that he is winning m the Grammys in the next edition.

  • Rema was warmly embraced during his visit to Tony Elumelu’s mansion, receiving a gracious welcome from the esteemed entrepreneur and his family
  • The singer, oozing confidence, made a pledge to the billionaire tycoon that he’s geared up to clinch the 2024 Grammys

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, made a bold promise to billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu, assuring him of securing the 2024 Grammys.

During his visit to the opulent multimillion-naira mansion, Rema received a warm reception from the billionaire and his family.

Tony, capturing the surprise visit on his Instagram story, expressed excitement. In one clip, Rema was seen interacting with the billionaire’s wife and sons, striking a pose for a photo alongside the award-winning singer.

Rema went all out during his visit to Elumelu, gifting him an exclusive album copy and his signature merchandise, “Air Rema,” all while confidently pledging to secure the 2024 Grammys.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude, the singer acknowledged Elumelu’s substantial impact and unwavering support in the music industry, confidently claimed he’ll win at the upcoming Grammys following conversations about being snubbed this year..

He stated;

“Thank you for what you have done and the support you have for the music industry. I am grateful, it means a lot to me. This year I am bringing the Grammy,”

Meanwhile, Afrobeats’ global influence has reached new heights with six Nigerian artists receiving Grammy nominations in the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide, Ayra Starr, Fireboy DML, and Asake were all nominated for next year’s event which will be held in February 2023.

Burna Boy’s 4 Grammy Nominations, “Sittin On Top Of The world” in the Best Melodic Rap category, “City Boys” in the Best African Performance category, “I Told Them” in the Best Global Music Album category, and “Alone” in the Best Global Music Performance category.

Davido for the first time in his career spanning over a decade got three nominations including ‘UNAVAILABLE’ in the Best African Performance category, ‘FEEL’in the Best Global Music Performance category, and ‘Timeless’ in the Best Global Album category.

One notable snub was the Calm Down by Rema which has won best Afrobeats song accolades this year. Fans were surprised by the huge omission after the nominations were announced.
