Veteran film actor, Peter Fatomilola was thrown a surprise party by his colleagues to celebrate his 78th birthday.

Several of his colleagues came together on Tuesday for a low key party, to celebrate the actor’s new age.

Peter Fatomilola also received a birthday cake with his name written on it.

In a video posted on Instagram, the movie star could be seen rejoicing and dancing with those who came to celebrate with him.

The 78-year-old was born in Ifisin-Ekiti in the Ido-Osi Local Government area of Ekiti State. In 1967, he joined the Olokun Theatre group under the tutelage of the late Professor Ola Rotimi, a renowned playwright at the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University.

He is also a member of the academic staff of Obafemi Awolowo University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts in 1978.

Known for his priestly roles, Peter has been featured in movies and TV shows like Sango, Sawaroide, Rise of the Saints, King Invincible, Super Story and Papa Ajasco.

Still on veteran actors in the Yoruba subset of Nollywood, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that actors and many others have expressed their joy as Lere Paimo, popularly known as Eda Onileola was gifted a brand new car and a cash gift of five hundred and fifty thousand Naira.

The 84-year-old veteran actor who was dressed in white was obviously speechless as he was presented the car and money in cash.

Nigerian cleric and founder of Seed of Christ Golden Church, Apostle SMO Mustapha aka Baba Sebioba presented Lere Paimo with the car.

After he handed over the key, Kunle Afod who paid the Lere Paimo a visit in his home some days back revealed some of his fans had donated money for the elderly actor.

Kunle Afod stated that when he paid a visit to Lere Paimo about three days back, he gave him some cash gift, but the sum of N550k has been donated in addition.
