Nigerian rap star, Ladipo Eso, known as Ladipoe, recently shared his perspective on Afrobeats icon Wizkid’s influence on his music.
Responding to a fan’s question on X about Wizkid inspiring him, Ladipoe clarified that, musically, Wizkid does not serve as a source of inspiration for him. However, he acknowledged being inspired by Wizkid’s persona and business acumen.
The discussion originated from Ladipoe’s tweet expressing how both RnB and Hip Hop have inspired him.

A follow-up comment from another Twitter user, @Bankz_12345, playfully questioned how someone perceived as “mid” (mediocre) could inspire anyone.
Ladipoe swiftly defended Wizkid, asserting that the Grammy winner is not mid.

In a previous development, a new clip of Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy and his label signee, Ladipoe, has surfaced online to the delight of netizens.
Ladipoe paid a courtesy visit to Jazzy’s apartment after his football team, Manchester United, got thrashed by Liverpool 7-0.
In the clip, Don Jazzy had no idea who was knocking at his door but upon opening, he saw the rapper who had a box of burgers with him.
The Rap star proceeded to mention that he brought the treat to commiserate with him over the recent football game defeat.
The Mavin Boss received the package, but he made sure to retaliate for the humiliation.
Don Jazzy teasingly mentioned that Ladipoe wouldn’t be releasing any song until July.
