Muyiwa Ademola condoles with victims of Ibadan explosion


Nigerian filmmaker cum actor, Muyiwa Ademola has recounted his experience after visiting the scene of the explosion which hit Ibadan.

Recall on Tuesday night, January 16, there was an explosion in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State which left residents in panic.

According to reports, properties were destroyed as a result of the explosion, and the UCH School of Nursing hostel glass windows were shattered, amongst other buildings during the quake.

Describing it as a devastating one, Muyiwa Ademola  stated that it’s one thing to see the scene of the incident off the internet or TV, but the feeling is totally different at the actual place.

The Yoruba actor noted how many lives were lost, properties lost, and hope dashed. Sending his condolence to the victims of the unfortunate incident, he said a word of prayer for them.

Muyiwa Ademola did not fail to appreciate the rescue operators, the Nigerian army, policemen, Road Safety Corps, Amotekuns, and firefighters. He captioned the video:

“It was such a devastating one.
It is another thing to see it on the internet or TV, the feeling is totally different in the actual place. Many lives were lost, properties lost, and hope dashed!

May The Almighty never let us witness this kind of calamity in our lands again.
To the families of the bereaved, the entire people of Oyo state especially Ibadan land, may The Almighty give us the fortitude to bear this.

Well done to the Oyo state government, the rescue operators, the Nigerian army, the policemen, the Road safety corps, the Amotekuns, the firefighters… all are steadily on the ground! Kudos!!”.

Earlier on, Muyiwa sent a public message to his fans, lovers, and colleagues who had tried to reach him following the explosion.

The talented role interpreter revealed that he is hale and hearty. Appreciating the public for their love, he noted how many were left terrified for him.

Praying for the souls of the departed and those who are injured, he noted how it is a sad day in Ibadan.
