Afro-fusion star, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, is set to grace the stage at the 2024 Grammys.
The Recording Academy made the announcement on Monday morning.
The highly acclaimed ‘African Giant’ artist will share the spotlight with chart-topping performers Luke Combs and Travis Scott.
The official statement from the Grammy organizers was shared on their official social media handle
“Attention: African Giant @BurnaBoy will take the #GRAMMYs stage on Sunday, February 4th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on @CBS,” the post read.
This announcement adds Burna Boy to an already impressive lineup of performers, including popular artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa.
Notably, Burna Boy has not only secured a performance slot but has also received three Grammy nominations in different categories at the 66th Grammys.
The categories include Best Melodic Rap Performance for his track ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World,’ Best Global Music Performance for ‘Alone,’ and Best African Music Performance for ‘City Boys.’

In other news, Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy, will perform at the 2021 Grammys Premiere Ceremony slated for March 14.
The African Giant will perform alongside other international artistes like Lido Pimienta, Poppy, Rufus Wainwright, and more, while Jhené Aiko will host the event.
The organisers of the prestigious award show announced this on March 2, in a post that read; “all of the premiere ceremony performers and the host are nominated this year, as are most of the presenters.”
