Shared on Trinity Guy’s verified Instagram page on January 28th, 2024, the video captured the comedian’s encounter with a man scavenging condemned iron on the streets.
In the footage, Trinity Guy appears visibly moved as he meets the man during his daily routine. Upon engaging him in a conversation, Trinity Guy learns that the man is a graduate of Architecture from a Nigerian university.
Despite his education, the man finds himself in dire poverty, resorting to picking scraps to survive. He revealed that he has lost both parents and his wife, who has a child with him, left due to his impoverished circumstances.
Expressing empathy for the man’s plight, Trinity Guy listens attentively as the man shares his struggles, including the meager earnings he and his brother make from selling scavenged materials—typically between N500 to N1000 daily.
Driven by compassion, Trinity Guy decides to extend a helping hand to the struggling graduate. He takes the man to a barber for a haircut, provides him with new clothes, and treats him to a meal at a restaurant.
Additionally, Trinity Guy generously gifts the graduate and his brother N50,000, a gesture that left them emotional.
